Journal of Religion and Spirituality
Everyone today longs for God experience and the touch of
the Divine through prayer and contemplation. Discalced
Carmelites of the Karnataka Goa Province apart from
preaching retreats and conferences on prayer have been
imparting spiritual formation to the religious at at
their different Institutes of Spirituality since many
years. Taking into account the impact of the benefits
that spirituality courses have had on the participants,
the Carmelites decided to launch out on the publication
of a new periodical - DHYANA JALA Journal of Religion
and Spirituality. The purpose of this periodical is to
satisfy the need for a wider and deeper understanding of
the rich heritage of the Christian Spirituality in its
diversifications through the various schools and
traditions eastern and western, ancient and modern.
Though, there are many journals today, Dhyana Jala is a
journal with a difference. It is designed 'to cater to
the spiritual enrichment and ongoing formation of those
who have been initiated into the religious life and
priestly formation'. Those who have studied spirituality
and followed courses in Ecclesiastical studies will be
able, through the pages of Dhyana Jala to keep
themselves in touch with current ideas in spiritual
Theology and continue their ongoing formation.
Dhyana Jala Journal of Religion and Spirituality,
published twice a year in April and October presents 6
articles by experts on one theme in each issue.
